1973 – Interior Design Unit formed in London studio
Recognising the value that the skills of other design professionals could bring to our projects, we were among the first UK practices to establish a dedicated Interior Design Unit in 1973.
Led by the formidable Rodney Cooper, the team comprised John Barker, Iris Dunbar and John Pinder who were interior, furniture and product designers.
Early commissions included work for Shell, Arthur Anderson and Halifax Building, opened in 1974.
Today the team is almost 100 strong and includes interior designers, product and ff+e designers, graphic designers and workplace strategists across the London, Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Cardiff and Toronto studios.
The recipient of multiple awards the team works across all our sectors bringing expertise to many interdisciplinary projects and standalone commissions.
