2011 – First projects complete in Shanghai
Our first two projects to complete in China were two civic projects in one of the country’s most visited cities, Suzhou. The Suzhou Planning and Exhibition Hall showcases past, present and future developments of the district and sits on the edge of a new central parkland area with great views of the surrounding landscape. The second project was the Suzhou Tourist Centre which was inspired by the large black dragonflies that are prevalent around the lakeside.
Since opening our studio in Shanghai in 2010, we have developed expertise across numerous sectors including healthcare, education, R&D, residential, retail and workplace. Projects include Xi’an Jiao Tong Liverpool University South Campus, Wanhua Research and Development Centre, the Shanghai Nanjing East Road Bund X-change and Nanjing Landsea Eco-Housing.
The team continues to work on a variety of projects throughout China including the redevelopment of Shanghai Yangshupu Power Station into a vibrant mixed-use destination and Fujian Lin Wenjing Memorial Hospital, Fuzhou, a world class 800-bed hospital.
